Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) is the most commonly used measure of life satisfaction. It consists of 5 items and is designed to measure global cognitive judgments about life satisfaction. The SWLS focuses on global life satisfaction and does not address related constructs such as positive affect or loneliness.
