Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) is a popular tool for measuring the perception of stress, it helps to understand how various life situations affect the feeling and perception of stress, as well as how unpredictable, uncontrollable and excessive life is perceived by the respondent.

Interpretation

Perceived Stress Scale (range: 0-40 points).
0-14 points: low stress level.
14-26 points: moderate stress level.
27-40 points: high level of perceived stress.

Perceived helplessness (range: 0-24 points): measuring an individual’s feelings of a lack of control over their circumstances or their own emotions or reactions.
Lack of self-efficacy (range: 0-16 points): measuring an individual’s perceived inability to handle problems.
